At 43, I felt like my body had quietly declared war on me. Overweight, chronically bloated, stiff from head to toe, and carrying habits I knew weren't serving me — I just felt awful. Not dramatically awful. Quietly, consistently awful. The kind that sneaks up on you over years until one day you look in the mirror and realize it's time to do something about it.

So I did. I got serious about my physical health, started training consistently, and discovered something I hadn't expected: I loved it. Not just how it made me feel — but the science behind it. The mechanics. The way the right movement, done with the right intention, can change everything about how a body functions and feels.

I've Been Where You Are

What I didn't love was what I saw at the gym. Trainers cycling older clients through generic routines, going through the motions, treating fitness after 45 as a maintenance problem rather than an opportunity. I knew the people I was watching deserved more. So in 2019 I earned my ACE Certified Personal Trainer credential — and put it to work.

I built out a dedicated training space, launched FMS, and began working with clients through group classes and one-on-one coaching. I also partnered with a local physical therapy facility, working alongside clients in their 50s, 60s, and 70s — people rebuilding strength, rehabbing injuries, and regularly surprising themselves with what their bodies were still capable of.

Their dedication was humbling.

Their results were extraordinary.

That experience shaped everything about how I train people today.

I also hold a senior leadership role in Sales and Marketing, which means I'm not speaking to you from some theoretical place about busy schedules. I live one — and I built FMS around that reality.
